Madiba in photos

After Nelson Mandela’s final release from prison in 1990, Louise photographed him for over a decade, working mostly with international media. At first, she said, Mr Mandela gave the news media unrestricted access to him. He then developed a charming way of putting off requests without losing the joy of participating in them.
