Mandela Uni opens dedicated Student Vaccination Centre

Nelson Mandela University has opened up a second vaccination site, specifically dedicated to its 29 000 students.

North Campus

The new site at the Student Health Services clinic on North Campus and close to the COVID-19 Vaccination Centre, which is presently serving both staff and the public, opens tomorrow (Monday, 19 July).

Students who fall in the 35 to 49-age category and are registered on the national Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS) are invited to have their vaccination at this site.

George Campus
Efforts are still underway to obtain final accreditation for opening a vaccination site on our George Campus.

Student Vaccination Centre Processes
Registered students do not need to make an appointment, but can take up the opportunity at the following times:

  • 9am to 2pm on Mondays to Thursdays
  • 9am to 12pm on Fridays
  • No weekends

Please bring the following:

  • Proof of registration
  • Your ID, and
  • A medical aid card if you have one.
