With safety being our overriding priority, the following events at which we celebrate achievements or mark milestones, will be hosted virtually in various formats.

New-look Format

• The student Academic Achievers Awards and the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Awards, recognising our research, teaching, engagement, innovation, creative output and Professional, Administrative and Support Services (PASS) achievers will be packaged in a shared online event under the umbrella of Celebrating Excellence.
• The traditional Retirement Tea has been transformed so that those leaving the University will each receive a personal message from the Vice-Chancellor and a gift delivered to their homes.
• The End of Year and Long Service Awards will be celebrated with sharing on various platforms, including a dedicated webpage, with a virtual message from the Vice-Chancellor, tributes for those who passed on in 2020, a visual review of the year and acknowledging those who have reached a milestone in their service to the University.
• As has already been shared, Graduation will be hosted in five virtual ceremonies on 17 and 18 December.
