Nelson Mandela University, which is situated in the coastal city of Gqeberha, in the eastern Cape, South Africa, with a campus in George is featured in the media frequently. This ranges from academics commenting on for example, politics, the economy and the environment; and media releases on staff or students winning awards, graduations and research breakthroughs of scientists.
Furthermore, several of our academics produce opinion pieces which are published on national media platforms. Their expert comment enlightens audiences about issues of a national and global nature. Nelson Mandela University is reputed for its excellence in among others, art and design, building, chartered accounting, engineering, health and environmental sciences and information technology. Furthermore, we have expertise on the blue (ocean) economy, the green economy along with gender studies.
