Radiographer

Radiographers take X-rays and apply radioactive substances or ultrasound to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. They work at the request of a dentist, a qualified doctor or a specialist, such as a radiologist.


Available Qualifications:

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum NSC statutory requirements for degree entry must be met.
  • An applicant with NSC Grade 12 Mathematics requires a minimum Applicant Score of 390.
  • NSC achievement rating of at least 50% for Mathematics.
  • NSC achievement rating of at least 50% for Physical Sciences.
  • NSC achievement rating of at least 50% for Life Sciences.
  • Admission is subject to Departmental selection.
  • Applicants must also be physically fit.
  • Applicants referred for selection must submit a satisfactory medical report, on the prescribed form, to the Admission Office

Opening and closing date for new applications is 1 April - 30 June each year

Compliance with the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission to the Radiography Programme. 

Places are limited and admission is subject to the Departmental Advisory Committee processes.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Technology: Radiography or equivalent qualification.
