From Thabang’s Reflections

“For me the pilgrimage provided an interdependence of my life and the

opportunity to get away from daily environment around me. The

life and connect with nature, and by pilgrimage also provided me the
so doing connect with myself. I opportunity to have some quiet
experienced joy in every little thing time away from the demands of my

that I observed, things that I usually normal daily life, so I could reflect

take for granted. The joy of waking deeply. As you know … this life
up to a fresh day, delighting in the provides us with less time to get in
observation of my life-giving breath, touch with ourselves, because we

experiencing some great wonders are so preoccupied with other
around me, the trees, the water, things, relationships, work and

the mountains, the sky … even the other troubles of this world. So, the
unique aromas around me, the pilgrimage, in a way, provided me
sounds of the birds …. the sensation with a break from all that; the

of the soft breeze… The other worries … because it gave me a

pleasure I derived was to observe much needed chance to clear my
myself, my environment and the head, to focus on positive things

people around me and also to and gain a renewed perspective on
observe how everything is life. Within our group there was an

interconnected, the observable diversity, which gave me
