CONCLUSION
As a publicly-funded University, our societal responsibility is to seek opportunities to conduct impactful learning, teaching,
research, and engagement. These opportunities should meaningfully impact the lives of our students, their respective
communities, South Africa, Africa, and the world at large. The details reflected in this three-year review report hopefully
captures the commitment, in term of resources (intellectual, financial, human, infrastructural, and other), by the University, its
employees, its students (current and past), and its stakeholders with whom collaborations are conducted.
The unprecedented challenges that emerged due to the COVID-19 pandemic provided many opportunities, as reflected in
the report, for innovative, transformational changes to be introduced into the University space and beyond. Even though much
progress has been achieved, the efforts, energies, and commitment need to continue and be realigned and directed to the
achievement of the outcomes associated with Vision 2030.
