By sharing the facts and making information readily available on different platforms and where possible, in three languages, will enable individuals to come to their own informed decisions ahead of the COVID-19 vaccination process in South Africa.
To support this information sharing, education and training process, the University has introduced, and soon will develop, the following:
-
A dedicated COVID-19 vaccine rollout webpage with credible resources
-
Vaccine posters in three languages for sharing and downloading
-
A booklet, in all three languages, explaining the basics around vaccines and vaccination
-
A series of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on all aspects of the vaccine
-
A weekly “Vacc Facts” series to be shared via Memo offering greater depth around vaccine concerns and misunderstandings
-
Training vaccine workshops among different staff and student groups, and
-
A vaccine webinar hosted by medical experts
