25 years of cooperation with Nelson Mandela University - a success story
The University of Oldenburg, Germany, has been cooperating with Nelson Mandela University since 1998. Originally established in the field of education, the cooperation is now active and successful in a wide range of disciplines. In addition to a continuously growing professional exchange and many joint projects financed by third-party funds, the university is an attractive study destination, especially for students from Oldenburg.
The 25th anniversary of the cooperation of the two universities started with a visit by a delegation from the University of Oldenburg to Gqeberha in November 2022. The purpose of this visit was to deepen the cooperation of the different units, to plan joint projects for the coming years, and to sign a new long-term cooperation agreement. In the second part of the anniversary celebrations, a cooperation week has been organised at the University of Oldenburg, where a delegation from Nelson Mandela University will be received from 26 to 30 June 2023.
